8) Unit 34, Task 1

Development & Techniques of 2D Animation Here, I'll be writing an article for an online computer game art eZine, explaining the techniques and development of 2D animation. Firstly, I'll go through all the techniques of 2D animation including the traditional as well as the digital ones with, the most well-known and used, application software; and then, I'll talk about the development of the 2D animation through the names of some - we could say - extraordinary people, and the history. Techniques The traditional 2D animation techniques: *Flick book - also known as a Flipbook, is a series of images that are being flipped from one page to another gradually and rapidly, creating an illusion of the objects, characters, or anything that is being presented, to be simulating motions or any other changes. Flick books could also be a series of photographs, instead of illustrations, organised in a sequence forming a story. Usually, those are mainly made for kids as proper

7. Unit 78, Task 2 & 3 To be able to generate my own concept art ideas for computer games graphics, I first had to understand what is my character going to be for; this time, I'm going to be creating the concept arts for a 2D side scroller game. This way, I'll also know what kind of character poses I'll be creating later on. The second step was to find examples, from different websites, books and more - anything, really, in life that could be useful - for the inspiration and ideas. This is why, after finding these inspirations, it's good to put them all together into one - a mood-board - and then take parts from them to create something original. Here is the first mood-board I have created as an inspiration for my character: However, the first attempts I have approached weren't very good for an interesting game. Such as those ones: The idea and the design much more would suit an animation/ movie, rather than a game. This is why I have made mor

6 Unit 1 Task 1 Pre-production is a process of planning all the part elements involved in a film, play and other performances so everything will be organized and there won't be too much fixing needed later on or during the project. There are three stages in production: pre-production, production, and post-production - pre-production ends when the planning is finished and it moves on to the real production. 2D Sidescroller game is a video game where the player looks at it from a side-view camera angle and is mostly allowed to move to the right and left.  This is an easy way to create a cheap game which can be fun as well as popular, an easy example could be "Mario". Type of production: (e.g. film, television, video, radio, audio, interactive media, web, computer game, print, photo-imaging) There are many various product types. Depending on the chosen type, the requirements will be different for each, that's why it's important to understand those diffe
